Using the Database Utility
After downloading the file, run it by double-clicking on it. Follow the prompts through the installation. There is no reason to change any of the default settings, so just press Next and Finish to complete the process.
The installer will put an icon on your desktop labeled Database Utilty.
Double-click the Database Utility icon to start the program. It will find both Version 4 and Version 5 databases if those installations exist on the computer. If you are using the Version 4 software, or are having trouble importing data into Version 5, select the V4db option button and press Rebuild. Please be patient and don’t take any actions until you see the popup message stating “Rebuild Complete.” If you see any messages in the list box, stating that errors were corrected, run the Rebuild again. Repeat until the only messages you see are pairs like the following.
Rebuilding bpatient.isD (this filename will change with each pair)
Rebuild Complete. 450 indexes inserted (the number of indexes will change with
each pair)
Then try running the software again to see if the problem is corrected. If not, fill out the fields at the bottom of the screen and press Send Data, to send your data to us to look at.
